The latest “Crème de la Crème” Investment GIA Diamonds sale, presented by Bid Global International Auctioneers, will feature nearly 350 lots of loose diamonds of assorted carat weights. Each gem in the catalog is offered with an accompanying Gemological Institute of America (GIA) certificate and complementary presentation set. Among the top lots is an oval-cut diamond measuring approximately 18.88 carats. This Type IIa diamond has D color and FL clarity, as graded by the GIA. Type IIa diamonds are considered to be the most chemically pure, containing no measurable nitrogen or boron impurities. Due to their face-up size and large surface, oval-cut diamonds often appear larger than their carat weight would suggest.
Another notable Type IIa diamond in the sale is a round-cut stone measuring 10.51 carats. This gem has D color and FL clarity; the auction house notes that it also has excellent polish and symmetry. Additional high-carat diamonds available in the upcoming event include a 22.88-carat square emerald-cut diamond, a 9.52-carat round-cut diamond, and a 10.02-carat pear-cut diamond. Several diamond pairs are also available. This includes a set of heart-cut diamonds that each measure 5.01 carats.
