Harry Winston Ring and Other Vintage Diamond Jewelry Designs Available at Brunk Auctions

A noted jeweler of his times, Harry Winston founded the Harry Winston Inc. in New York in 1932. Named the “King of Diamonds”, Winston is known for refashioning old-styled jewelry into contemporary designs. A Harry Winston natural blue sapphire and diamond cocktail ring is a key highlight of the upcoming sale by Brunk Auctions. It is set with oval mixed cut sapphire and 34 tapered baguettes. Another interesting jewelry lot is a 14-karat diamond pendant. It has an old mine brilliant cut diamond weighing 5.24 carats. During 18th – 19th century, the old mine cut was the most popular design owing to its vintage looks. Even today, these diamonds are prized for their squarish shape, curved edges and smaller table. A custom-made pendant necklace also leads the listing. It is studded with a central round brilliant cut diamond (3.01 carats), 32 baguettes and seven round brilliant diamonds. The golden disc of the pendant is engraved with personal notes on both sides.
