Best known for his still-life depictions of gardens and flowers, French-Vietnamese painter Le Pho was an influential artist in the 20th century. The upcoming Fine Paintings Auction, offered by Doyle, features an oil piece by Le Pho. The floral still life painting, titled Fleurs, represents the intersection of Eastern artistry and Western Impressionism.
A painting titled The Violinist from Gen Paul is presented in this auction as well. Paul explored movement in his works; he frequently painted horse races, cycling races, and musicians in action. The available piece was made in layers of olive green, brown, black, and red oil paint. Available fine art pieces from Moses Soyer will also be included in this event. Soyer was an important figure in the American Realism movement at the start of the 20th century. His artwork, titled Dancer in Blue Skirt, depicts a young woman bending at the knees and elbows.
