Appealing to working women in the 1980s, Bulgari created the Parentesi collection, which was suitable for formal and informal occasions alike. The design was inspired by Rome’s travertine pavement and stone blocks. This stylized “bracket” collection remained popular throughout the 1980s and the rest of the 20th century. A clematis flower brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels is among the highlighted items. The flower’s petals are made of white coral, with eight diamonds forming the brooch’s center. A TAG Heuer Microtimer watch is also available in the sale. Launched in 2003, the Microtimer is the first Swiss-made electronic movement, with precision to 1/1000th of a second. This professional sports chronograph watch was designed for Formula One racing. The multi-functional timepiece has a black LCD background, as well as information about the lap time, fastest lap, number of laps, and the total race time.
