The works of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec combined fine art with the advertising industry. Regarded as one of the leaders of Post-Impressionism, Toulouse-Lautrec designed posters for the Moulin Rouge. One of his paintings, from his Elles series, will be featured in the upcoming Fine & Decorative Art Monthly Online Auction offered by Heritage Auctions. The piece, titled Femme au Lit, translates to Woman in Bed. The color lithograph is printed on Van Gelder paper.
Another key lot of the auction is a pair of Sèvres porcelain urns from 1900. The gilt bronze porcelains are topped with removable dome covers. Shown on the urns are landscape paintings with couples. Besides fine art and porcelain, the sale also represents a Khotan carpet from eastern Turkistan, dating back to the early 19th century. Find more lots and register to bid online on Heritage Auctions.
