Wright presents Design, a highly vetted sale featuring work by some of the most influential designers, artists, and architects of the 20th -century. Collectors can bid on rare dining set by Kem Weber for the Grand Rapids Chair Company. The lacquered wood and upholstered dining set (circa 1928) describes Weber’s ‘Streamline’ style. Gio Ponti revolutionized the production of Richard Ginori with ceramic pieces, as he describes “of vaguely neoclassical inspiration, with Etruscan suggestions, turned toward the modern with ironic elegance.” Ponti’s works for Richard Ginori like the monumental lidded vase are offered in the auction. 

Highlights also include a selection of works by Pierre Jeanneret from Chandigarh, iconic designs by Ron Arad and early architectural fragments by Dankmar Adler and Louis Sullivan. Within the sale, an impressive collection of Contemporary Glass will be offered alongside exceptional works by American masters George Nakashima, Paul Evans, and Harry Bertoia.
