Coveted Models From Patek Philippe and F. P. Journe Lead NY Elizabeth’s Upcoming Sale

Swiss luxury timepiece maker Patek Philippe is well known for introducing mechanisms such as the perpetual calendar, split-seconds hand, and minute repeater in mechanical watches. The upcoming sale from NY Elizabeth will feature one such piece with a tourbillon minute repeater perpetual calendar. It is designed with an alligator wristband. Another noteworthy Patek Philippe wristwatch is a Nautilus perpetual calendar. The steel watch is designed with a bezel and softened angles. Inspired by a transatlantic ship, the Nautilus collection was launched by the company during the quartz crisis to re-entice people to high-end Swiss watches. In production for three decades, the watch is a combination of sports and luxury elements. It was created by designer Gérald Genta.

Three F. P. Journe wristwatches also lead the catalog. One is a Chronometre Optimum Black Label, and the other two models are Tourbillon Souverain limited edition and Repetition Souveraine. Focusing on complex precision chronometers, the watchmaker is the only three-time winner of the Aiguille d’Or grand prize from the Fondation du Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.
