Cherry Red 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort Available With Bring a Trailer This May

The latest car auctions at Bring a Trailer include a cherry red 1988 Porsche 959 Komfort. The car traveled straight from the factory to its first owner, the German film producer Horst Otto Gregor Wendlandt. Since then, the car has had two additional owners and has accumulated approximately 30,000 miles. Porsche chief engineer Helmuth Bott began development of the 959 Komfort in 1981, seeking a 911-based Group B World Rally Championship model. The 959 Komfort is notable for its aerodynamic body style, covered headlights, and center-lock cast magnesium wheels. This vehicle was renovated and refurbished between 2018 and 2023.
