Bulgari and Jaeger LeCoultre Serpenti Bracelet-Watch, Tiffany Luxury Jewelry Available at Doyle

The upcoming Important Jewelry sale from Doyle will feature a variety of fine watches and jewelry items from luxury brands such as Bulgari, Tiffany & Co., Van Cleef & Arpels, and others. Leading the sale is a platinum and diamond ring from the 1930s. This piece features an emerald-cut diamond weighing 7.69 carats, accented by a total of four trapezoid and baguette-cut diamonds. The accompanying Gemological Institute of America (GIA) report notes that the center gem has F color and VS1 clarity. Bidders can also consider a gold and diamond ‘Serpenti’ bracelet-watch from Bulgari and Jaeger LeCoultre. Inspired by coiled snakes, the ‘Serpenti’ line is closely identified with elegance and sensuality. Bulgari collaborated with Swiss watch manufacturer Jaeger LeCoultre to include a hidden clock dial in the available example, which can be accessed by lifting up the snake’s hinged and diamond-encrusted head. 

Additional lots of interest in this sale include a ‘Sea Life’ bangle bracelet from Tiffany & Co. Composed of platinum, tourmaline, sapphire, garnet, spinel, and diamond, this piece evokes the colors of the ocean floor. Starfish intertwine with algae-like fronds. Also offered from Tiffany & Co. is a platinum and diamond ring from the estate of a New York lady. Notable antique lots include an Art Nouveau brooch by René Lalique from circa 1895. Made of light and dark green enamel, this detailed brooch features a butterfly-woman with her wings outstretched. Watches from Breguet, Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Cartier will be available as well.
