A 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback in Night Mist Blue Leads Indy Fall Special 2023 Auction

A 1967 Shelby GT500 Fastback in Night Mist Blue is the main attraction in the Indy Fall Special 2023 Auction from Mecum Auction Company. It is a Shelby no. 00706, with 428 CI, V-8 engines. The Fastback has a four-speed manual transmission. The engine was built by Barry Rabotnick of Survival Motorsports, one of the few remaining ones from his commercial shop. The car was repainted in Night Mist blue with White LeMans stripes adding to its allure. The paint and bodywork were done by noted Shelby specialists Legendary Motorcar using the original early VIN-style fiberglass steel-frame hood and deck lid. The car bears original Ford and Shelby VIN stampings in place. Moreover, the interior has the rare parchment comfort weave that only 8% of all Shelby production in 1967 had.
