Known as the jeweler of the Rockefellers, Vanderbilts, and DuPonts, Raymond C. Yard helped define Art Deco jewelry in the early 20th century. Yard focused on sourcing the highest quality materials, often hand-selecting the gems used in his designs. Available in this auction is a pair of Raymond C. Yard diamond earrings. Two F color diamonds, together weighing 5.0 carats, dangle from intricate platinum backs. These earrings reflect the dominant drop pendant styles of the 1920s. The upcoming auction also includes jewelry pieces from David Webb, Oscar Hyman, and Seaman Schepps.
