John Millei’s work titled Peace / Fear Of Emptiness is featured in the upcoming 20th Century & Contemporary Art + Design Auction, presented by John Moran Auctioneers. Millei’s signature style, characterized by gestural brushstrokes and use of thick paint, can be seen in this piece. The Los Angeles artist mainly works with abstract and Expressionistic paintings, often employing geometric patterns and shapes. 

Also available is an Olympic poster from 1936, designed by Franz Wurbel. The print shows a golden man wearing a laurel crown, while five Olympic rings float behind his head. Below the man are four horses leading an ancient chariot. Wurbel was commissioned by Adolf Hitler to design posters for the Olympic games as part of the opening ceremony, which benefitted the German Chancellor in the promotion of his ideals.
