1977 Ford Bronco Leads Harrisburg 2023 Sale at Mecum Auctions

The Harrisburg 2023 sale, presented by Mecum Auctions, will take place in late July. Leading the auction is a 1977 Ford Bronco, serial no. U154GLY63311. As first-generation models, the 1977 Broncos offered plenty of features. A major selling point of the 1977 Ford Bronco was its fuel storage capacity.  The available car features a 14.4-gallon fuel tank instead of a 12-gallon tank. Additionally, unlike most first-generation Broncos, this model has a gas door rather than a cap. The front axles on this 1977 Bronco are Dana 44s, while the rear axles are Ford 9’s. The vehicle is also equipped with a 6.2L/525 HP V-8 engine, automatic transmission, a hydro-boost brake system, four-piston brake calipers, locking hubs, and hydraulic steering. Documentation includes restoration receipts totaling $161,000.

A 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8 with a 7.2L Elephant L V-8 engine is another leading lot. It is powered by a 6.1-liter V8 engine that delivers 1,100 horsepower and 1,200 pound-feet of torque. Other notable features include a limited-slip rear differential and the firmest suspension.
