LOT NOTES
The “Mystery” clock, so called because of the illusion of floating hands, was conceived by Louis Cartier and the house’s clockmaker Maurice Coüet, with the first models produced in 1912. The clocks remain among Cartier’s most sophisticated luxury productions. Similar mystery clocks of octagonal design are reminiscent of the screen-style models especially popular in the 1920s and 1930s.

Who Me ?
Mixed media
12″ x 12″ x 2″

“Who Me ?” was created entirely with pieces of ripped magazines. While being concerned with recycling and reuse, Donna started playing with this medium and has found it quite addicting. This piece is gallery wrapped and unframed.

Donna MacLure is an award-winning artist who has been painting for the past twenty years. Best known for her watercolors, she has more recently expanded her focus working in collage exclusively with torn magazine fragments. She has exhibited both locally and internationally. Donna is a signature member of the RI Watercolor Society, New England Watercolor Society, and the North East Watercolor Society. Her work can be found in local galleries and private collections worldwide. She creates art daily and teaches in her Wrentham, MA studio.
