An Important Indo-Portuguese Inlaid Cabinet (Contador):
An important Indo-Portuguese (Contador) inlaid cabinet on stand. Features a wood foundation with rectangular form designed with four rows of three drawers, the stand with three large drawers, and the square section legs intricately carved with European ecclesiastical figures with bulging eyes and marked traits amidst volutes, flowing down to polychrome scale, and grotesque animalistic figural forms on casters. The surfaces and drawer fronts all covered with stellar motifs within roundels forming a latticed design, with openwork copper-alloy mounts and twisted pull handles throughout.
