John Moran Auctioneers presents the upcoming Prints and Multiples auction, including screenprints, lithographs, silkscreens, and woodcuts. The work of artists such as Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, and Damien Hirst will be available. Especially highlighted is Warhol’s screenprint titled Kachina Dolls. The toys shown in this piece were originally given as gifts to Hopi girls in hopes of a future of abundance and health. The available print shows three of these dolls, layered in contrasting colors.
Damien Hirst’s woodcut called M-Fluorobenzylamine depicts numerous minimalistic circles in an array of colors. Also available is a ceramic pitcher painted by Pablo Picasso. Using the full space of the pitcher, Picasso painted a woman wearing a necklace. Also highlighted in the sale is an untitled screenprint of a man clothed only in shorts, created by Raymond Pettibon. Above the figure are the words, “You’re showing, I’m telling,” along the top. To view the full catalog and to place a bid, visit Invaluable
