Pre-Holiday Estate Auction

The upcoming Pre-Holiday Estate Auction offered by Thos. Cornell Galleries, Ltd. features a variety of items, from rugs to furniture to paintings. Leading the auction is a 20.5-inch Criterion disc music box. Made in the late 1800s by FG Otto company, this music box comes with 20 discs. Also available in this sale is a 94-piece Wallace Grand Baroque sterling flatware set. Styled in the lavish Baroque manner, this pattern was first introduced in 1941. It displays classic symbols of the Renaissance with intricate pillars and acanthus leaves.

Highlighted in the sale is a Persian Qum silk rug. Made in central Persia near Tehran, the rug is made with fine wool and silk. The rug has a central medallion and intricately woven garden motifs. Also available is an Auguste Moreau bronze sculpture titled Boy and Girl with Bronze.
