Painting by Pop Art Pioneer James Rosenquist Available With Brunk Auctions

American painter James Rosenquist (1933 – 2017) was a 2001 inductee into the Florida Artists Hall of Fame. He is considered one of the proponents of the Pop Art movement. Works by Rosenquist often explore the role of advertising and consumer culture in art and society. Rosenquist utilized techniques he learned from making commercial art to depict popular cultural icons and mundane everyday objects. One of James Rosenquist’s untitled paintings is a key lot in this upcoming sale, the Collection of Jean and Jim Barrow from Brunk Auctions.
