Norman Rockwell Lithograph, Wedgwood and Giuseppe Armani Porcelain Lead Willow Auction House’s Spring Cleaning Sale

Over 80 pieces of Wedgwood porcelain in the Florentine pattern will lead the upcoming spring sale at Willow Auction House. The Spring Cleaning Un-Curated Estate Finds auction will offer more than 400 lots of artwork, jewelry, silver, collectibles, furniture, and decorative items. Featured lots include the Wedgwood porcelain, Giuseppe Armani porcelain figure groups, Japanese and Chinese porcelain, an English Sterling teapot, a Superman poster, and rugs. Wedgwood was founded by Josiah Wedgwood in 1759. He was a talented potter who modified the 18th-century creamware with a bluish-white tint that was refreshing to consumers. The available 84-piece set is also in turquoise with the Florentine pattern, a favorite among British royals. Pieces include a sugar bowl, creamer, fruit tray, teapot, coffee pot, dinner plates, soup bowls, and more.

A selection of prints, serigraphs, collector’s plates, a Norman Rockwell lithograph, and a variety of tribal, ethnographic, and religious items will also be available in the auction. Whitewashing the Fence by Norman Rockwell is a lithograph from the Tom Sawyer Suite. Rockwell was an American artist who was said to have captured the American dream and way of life in his works. The lithograph available in the auction is numbered 85 out of 200 and is signed by the artist. Cinderella-like glass slippers from the 18th century will also be available in the sale.
