Movie Citizen Kane’s Correction Script Is The Star Of The Upcoming Bonhams Auction
Dec 07, 2022 10:00 PSTThe upcoming Classic Hollywood: Film and Television sale, presented by Bonhams, will offer a rare script from a movie Citizen Kane. The movie is regarded as one of the greatest films in history. The story revolves around the death of a tycoon as an investigation unveils conflicting stories about his life. Orson Welles and co-writer Herman Mankiewicz produced seven official drafts of the movie script. In July of 1940, Welles wrote the final script called the Correction Script in an attempt to refine the dialogues and story. Though this script does not accomplish all of Welles’ vision, several revised dialogues from it would be used in the film.
Additional featured lots include a gown from the honeymoon scene in the movie Gone With The Wind. The two-toned gown with embroidered sleeves was worn by actress Vivien Leigh. The auction will also offer a Tom Jung concept artwork for the one sheet poster for Star Wars: Episode Iv – A New Hope and a prop menu from Pulp Fiction movie.
