Mid-Summer Fine Art and Photography Sale

Modern art’s influence within the last century has been infectious, to say the least. Classical realism began to fade with the rise of impressionism, opening the floodgates to an entirely new generation of artistic forms and styles. The 20th century and contemporary art are on full display in the upcoming Mid-Summer Fine Art and Photography Sale presented by Creighton-Davis Gallery. 

Leading the way in this auction are three coordinating pieces from the pop artist Tom Wesselmann, a founder of the international pop art and screen-printing movement. Depicting a still life in one massive painting and a modernist nude in two others, Wesselmann’s style established a precedent for the following decades of modern art. International art also plays a significant role in this auction, with a series of serigraph works from Jiang Tie-Feng, a Chinese artist whose layered paintings walk the line between abstraction and realism. 

Photography from Ansel Adams, abstract sculptures from Helen Finch, and countless other imaginative works are contained within this auction.
