For the young Ben Graham, trains represented adventure, travel, and the excitement of the unknown. He and his siblings found joy in watching trains and walking along the tracks. Graham’s passion for trains eventually led him to set up a toy train shop called Almosta Junction. Following his death in 2021, the shop he established is closing down after more than three decades of business. Limited edition locomotives like Lehmann-Gross-Bahn (LGB) toy trains from Almosta Junction Store in Utah will be available in Part 1 of Turner Auctions + Appraisals’ upcoming sale. The event will showcase special edition model trains and feature the complete inventory owned by the late Ben Graham.
Leading the lots is an LGB 72700 in a custom wood display cabinet. Though it was manufactured many years ago, it is new to the market and was never owned. Additional highlights include an LGB hot air balloon store display, a Rio Grande Southern Work Goose No. 6, and several pieces of stock merchandise. A selection of first edition and signed train-related books are on offer as well. Over 200 vintage toy trains, clocks, and collectibles from Almosta Junction Store will be available in the upcoming Turner Auctions sale. Visit Bidsquare to view the catalog and participate online.
