Important Prints and Multiples Day Sale

Bansky, an anonymous English artist received a special status in the world of art. His work includes many powerful, often controversial images. While his artworks are renowned around the world, the painting of “Girl with Balloon” is a rare find.  The painting is a part of Important Prints and Multiples Day Sale by Sotheby’s. The piece depicts a young girl with her hand extended toward a red heart-shaped balloon carried away by the wind. 

A selection of 239 lots of contemporary and traditional styles of fine art is available at the auction. Also featured is a “Nu Au Coussin Bleu” lithograph by Henri Matisses. The nude work is an even blend of light and dark. Along with the nude are the works of artists such as Martin Lewis, and Joan Miró. Find more information on Sotheby’s.
