Finest & Rarest Wines Featuring Bordeaux form the Cellar of a Bronfman Family Member
Dec 06, 2019 10:00 EST - Dec 07, 2019 19:00 EST
Sotheby’s will present the upcoming Finest and Rarest Wines auction to feature wines from the cellar of a Bronfman family member. The Bronfman family excelled in the distilled alcohol beverage business during the 20th century. The Canadian-American Jewish family is particularly recognized for its Seven Crown, VO, and Crown Royal Canadian whiskeys.
After being stored in a custom-built and temperature- and humidity-controlled storage unit, cases of 1982 Cheval Blanc, 1989 Petrus, 1990 Latour, and 1990 Margaux will come to auction. The leading lot, eight bottles of Château Mouton Rothschild 1945, will be featured as an uncommon and complex wine. It blends flavors of coffee, fruit, chocolate, and gingerbread with a smooth finish. Mature first growths will also be highlighted, with a focus on 1980s and 1990s wines. Nearly two decades of Screaming Eagle is offered along with 11 lots of the Macallan Select Reserve from 1946. View the full catalog and place a bid at Sotheby’s.
