Fine Asian Art and Antiques – Session 2

A sale that spans two days, the Fine Asian Art and Antiques auction offered by Oakridge Auction Gallery allows Chinese art to shine, from the early dynasties to the 20th century. The first session features jades, porcelain, ceramics, and furniture pieces. A rare and breathtaking Yongzhengmoon flask vase is an extraordinary feature of the first day—only one other known example exists. Other notable lots include a pair of Huanghuali inlaid panels depicting scholarly items in precious materials and a white jade goddess sculpture. 

The focus of the second session is on visual art and printed characters, with paintings, calligraphies, scrolls, and much more. Highlights include a watercolor and ink painting depicting graceful grapevines; a modern painting on silk of flowers and butterflies from the 1950s; and several sets of paintings and couplets.
