Noteworthy among this 520-lot auction is a Louis Vuitton grand wardrobe. The interior contains six drawers, a portable shoe case, and hangers. The exterior, of course, has the iconic interlocking “L” and “V” logo. Other functional pieces in this auction include a pair of Rococo-style mirrors and a Russian, fabergé-style cover box and gum pot. The lot in this auction with the highest estimated value is a late 19th-century torchère by French sculptor Albert-Ernest Carrier-Belleuse known as one of the founding members of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.
