In 1859, Thomas Webb launched his glass manufacturing business with his sons. After designing Art Nouveau crystal and Scandinavian-style glassware for decades, the company shut down in 1990. The upcoming auction of Art Glass and Perfume Bottles, presented by Brunk Auctions, will offer lots from a Springfield estate. A Thomas Webb & Sons swan’s head cameo scent bottle is one of the highlights. The pale blue bottle is shaped like a swan’s head with finely carved feathers. The cap is of Victorian English silver with London hallmarks.
A Tiffany Favrile art glass vase is also available. The late 19th or early 20th-century glass piece features an opalescent bowl with greenish-yellow petals continuing down the stem. Other lots from the collection of Sandra Manheimer are also on offer, including perfume bottles and atomizers from brands such as DeVilbiss, Lalique, and more.
