Auction catalogs spanning from 1939 to 2021 with approximately 1,130 volumes is leading the J. J. Lally & Co. – The Library sale at Christie’s. The 1,130 volumes include sales in London, New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Amsterdam and Monaco, most with original wrappers, some with original cloth or slipcases. Other notable collections in the auction are limited-edition copies of Chinese Sculpture from the Fifth to the Fourteenth Century and Kinas Konst under tre Artusenden (Three Thousand Years of Chinese Art) by Osvald Sirén. Printed in 1925 by Ernest Benn Limited, London, Chinese Sculpture from the Fifth to the Fourteenth Century comes in four volumes with the original cloth from the time of publication. The latter was printed in 1942 in Swedish. Osvald Sirén (1879 – 1966) was a Finnish-born Swedish art historian. His interests included the art of 18th-century Sweden, Renaissance Italy, and China.

From Hongda Zhu, Illustrated Catalogue of Hsui Nei Szu Kuan Yao: the Porcelain Newly Discovered Now Kept at Ping Hung Dong will be showcased in the upcoming sale. The book was published in 1937. The text is printed in Chinese and English. It was previously kept at Chengdu Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology, and Suining Municipal Museum. Other Chinese books in the same lot include two volumes of Jinyuncun Hoard of Southern Song Dynasty in Suining, published in 2012 by Cultural Relics Press, Beijing.
