An American artist known for Abstract Expressionist works and Pointillism, Alma Woodsey Thomas uses a range of colors in her paintings, all the while having her own distinct style. The paintings she created were meticulously planned, despite their apparent spontaneity. In Thomas’ paintings, nature is a powerful inspiration and a shaper that consistently refreshes her work. Her yard and the parks in the Washington area were studied for their hues, patterns, and movement.
