19th-Century Napoleon III Boulle Hauteur D’appui Cabinet, Tiffany & Co. Showpieces Highlight Akiba Galleries’ Upcoming Sale

The upcoming Designer Dream auction, presented by Akiba Galleries, will showcase a selection of fine jewelry, furniture, and more. One highlighted lot is a Tiffany & Co. platinum and 18-karat gold bracelet from the Trellis collection. It features round diamonds with an estimated total weight of 9.15 carats and 64 sapphires weighing 9.25 carats. According to the lot catalog, the diamonds have F/G color with VVS/VS clarity. Tiffany collectors can also consider a sample knife set in the original box. The Tiffany & Co. seller sample set comprises four knives of various sizes and shapes. They are crafted in bone handles and stored in a carved wooden box. 

A fine 19th-century Napoleon III Boulle Hauteur D’appui cabinet attributed to Befort Jeune is another notable lot. It has a strong ebonized wood foundation and three cupboard doors. The middle door features a center gilt bronze mounted urn, flanked by a double eagle head, key-hole covers, upper acanthus bordering, and a lower lion mask. The cabinet is inlaid with Boulle marquetry. A black granite top over a pair of doors and interior shelving completes the look. Luxury watches, sculptures, and paintings are available as well.
