A Rare And Desireable Late 19th Century Gay 90 Button
One Large Pierced square glass centered Gay 90 period button.
The rarity of this button stems from the fact that it depicts 4 fly’s on 4 sides of the cut steel bordered intermixed goldstone trimmed glass center. Pierced around the fly’s and further enhanced with other cut steel embellishment. As button collectors are aware pictorial Gay 90 buttons are extremely sought after and certainly not plentiful, and this example is no exception to that.
