Baccarat Crystal Statuette, Heritage Chanticleer Rooster:
An authentic Art Deco style statuette in clear solid crystal was created by Georges Chevalier circa 1930s. The figure and base were cut from a single block to produce an eye catching decorative piece. The rooster with its wings spread, stellar and eccentric, loves to attract attention. The bird glows with pride and struts with head held high. After graduating from the National College of Decorative arts in 1913, Georges Chevalier began working with Baccarat in 1916 right up till the 1970s. His work took Baccarat into the modernity of the 20th century, but at the same time kept to the traditional heritage of the crystal factory. Signed Baccarat. Baccarat France backstamp.
