    When a blue box of Tacori appears, the receiver usually knows what’s inside. Tacori is a jewelry brand highly associated with weddings. Based in California, the jewelry house was founded in 1969 by Haig and Gilda Tacorian with Romanian and Armenian influences. Tacori’s iconic Crescent silhouette was inspired by the Tacorians’ heritage. A Tacori diamond cuff set in 18-karat gold is available in Hampton Estate Auction’s upcoming sale. The statement diamond cuff weighs 51.3 grams. Another find among wrist jewelry is a pink tourmaline and dark hematite bracelet. The uniquely shaped stones are set in 18-karat gold and outlined and joined by smaller diamonds.  Among watches is a 1970s Rolex Orchid watch in 18-karat gold and diamond, notable for its look.     From its beginnings in 1847, Cartier has been noted for its signature designs and motifs. The company’s founder, Louis-François Cartier, was an acclaimed French craftsman. In the early 1920s, the brand that was once recognized as a jewelry house began to include watches as well.     The Hammerman Brothers – Benjamin, Bernard, and Hyman – were the descendants of an Eastern European craftsman. After their service in World War II ended, the trio set up a jewelry manufacturing company. As they expanded their business, they acquired the Bermont Diamond Company, securing an in-house supply of gems. An 18-karat gold, diamond, and pearl necklace by Hammerman Jewels is one of the leading lots in the upcoming Fine Jewelry and Watches auction, presented by Hampton Estate Auction. Another highlight of the sale is a Patek Philippe Aquanaut steel watch (ref 5167 1A) designed with a black embossed dial, white Arabic numerals, and a self-winding mechanical function.     The Hammerman luxury jewelry brand was established in New York City following World War II. In the 1950s, the Hammerman brothers patented a breakthrough design for a bracelet that doubled as a watch and manufactured the world’s first fully electronic watch a few years later. In the upcoming Fine Jewelry and Watches sale, offered by Hampton Estates Auction, a 12-inch Hammerman diamond and pearl necklace can be found. The total weight of the necklace’s diamonds is approximately 22 carats.  Also included is an 18-karat rose gold Patek Philippe Calatrava watch. Patek Philippe SA was founded in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and François Czapek. Almost a century later, the Calatrava watch was introduced.     Jean Michel Schlumberger was one of the leading jewelry designers of the 20th century. His jewelry caught the attention of Walter Hoving, the chairman of Tiffany & Co. After being offered a job at the luxury firm, Schlumberger became one of only four jewelers who have signed their creations for Tiffany & Co.     Barry Kieselstein-Cord’s jewelry designs made their first appearance in 1973. The American craftsman’s designs were an immediate hit. Working in matte-finished metals, he often creates whimsical sun, moon, and animal compositions. Some of his designs can be found in the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, and the Louvre in Paris. The upcoming Fine Jewelry and Watches auction presented by Hampton Estate Auctions will showcase an alligator bracelet designed by Kieselstein-Cord. Crafted in 18 karat matte yellow gold, the bracelet is shaped like an alligator wrapping around the wrist. Among the highlights of this sale is a Buccellati sapphire and diamond ring. The yellow and white gold ring is dome-shaped with a sapphire in the center. The gem is surrounded by leaf-shaped bezels and 74 small diamonds.
