Landscape Paintings by Clyde Aspevig and Kevin Macpherson Come to Sale with Catalina Museum for Art & History

American painter Clyde Aspevig was born in Rudyard, Montana in 1951. He is well known for his realistic oil paintings of the American West. Aspevig would often depict vast and scenic landscapes of Wyoming and Montana in his works. One such artwork by the artist, titled Wild River Mountains, Wyoming, is a key highlight of the upcoming auction from the Catalina Museum for Art & History. The oil on board painting celebrates nature and effectively displays the artist’s skills. The artwork, with a strong composition and bold brushstrokes, looks majestic yet intimate.   Kevin Macpherson’s Little Harbor, an oil on canvas painting, also leads the catalog. Macpherson is a renowned Impressionistic plein-air painter known for infusing light and color in his works. An admirer of both French and American Impressionism, the American artist uses a simple palette for his paintings. Another noteworthy lot is Pelican Rocks by Russell Moreton. The upcoming sale also features works by artists such as Joseph Paquet, Mian Situ, Denise Burns, Roger M. Upton, and others. Find the listed items and discover more online auctions on Bidsquare.
