The Cock bird poised in the act of calling his mate, the Hen looking down at her chicks, which are nestled beneath her. Both with mottled brownish-gray and buff plumage, the Cock of slightly lighter hue, with whiter cheeks and chin and darker crest; on rustic porcelain base.
