This jar and two covers in the shape of a pair of grotesque birds is a fine example of Martin ware. Carved and heavily incised stoneware glazed in hues of blue and brown.
Mounted on plinth. Covers and base signed ‘R.W. Martin & Bros. London & Southall 31.12.1912.
