Pate-sur-pate decoration of sparrows on grape and modelled foliate forms in Art Nouveau style. Artist incised on bottom of both vases.
Sparrows resting and flying. Grape vines in hues of green with soft white highlights to show detail, on a textured buff background. This scene is elegantly framed in tube-line in classic cream color and modelled foliate forms in Art Nouveau style in complementary high glazed washes of caramel brown and soft sage green. This item has no reserve. Royal Doulton England impressed.
