Pair Of Ming Dynasty Qingbai Porcelain Guardian Sculptures:
Two Qingbai porcelain sculptures of guardian with wild hair: one is bearded and stands on sea waves populated by a dragon, one is shaven and stands on rocky ground and a dog. Each guardian has a rectangular hole in his back. Dimensions are as follows:
Bearded – H: 23.5″ W: 9.5″ L: 11.5″
Shaven – H: 22.75″ W: 8.5″ L: 9″
CIRCA: Early 17th Century, possibly older
