Michael Sutty Porcelain Anglo-French War Sculpture:
A rare and powerful porcelain figure of two soldiers in an intense battle on a horse. Possible inspired by the historical late 12th century conflict between England and France. The figure depicts the English knight in red on his caparison covered gray steed fighting off the French warrior in blue. ‘Made in England’, ‘M.J. Sutty’, and ‘Model number 63’ handwritten on the underside.
