A magnificent large example of this famous Swiss Bronze Sculptor, the Duchess Adele D’Affry MARCELLO (1836-1879). The detailed face of the man and the monkey on his shoulder make this bronze especially desirable to any collector. A beautiful and whimsical example created by this artist of the 19th century. Signed . The Duchess was married to Carlo Colonna, Duke of Castiglione-Altibrandi. She created her first successful composition, La Belle Helene in 1860.
