Splendid large oil on canvas by Russian-Israeli Contemporary Impressionist artist Leonid Afremov. He is reputed for paintings rich color combinations and textures achieved from thick and thin paint applications and for his masterful use of palette knife that adds relief. Afremov paints a seemingly incongruous city scene where a white horse turns towards the viewer that Afremov painted with dabs of soft pinks, ranges of whites, light browns and burnt oranges. Signature on the lower right: Leonid Afremov. Housed in a gilded and carved wood frame with grape vines designs and an ecru linen border. Artwork dimensions: 30″L x 40″H.
