Goldscheider Porcelain by Josef Lorenzl Russian Cossack Figurine, 5397:
Porcelain figurine designed by Josef Lorenzl for Goldscheider of Vienna, Austria, depicting a female Russian Cossack dancer dressed in traditional attire with a tall red and black patterned fur hat, a matching belted tunic coat with teal and white trim, patterned leggings, and glossy black knee-high boots. The dancer poses with arms crossed and head tilted, leaning gracefully against a wooden stool draped with a blue cloth. The sculptural detailing captures movement and stylized theatrical expression typical of Lorenzl’s Art Deco work. The piece is incised with “Laurenzl” on the base, a variation of the artist’s name. The underside features several marks including the Goldscheider Wien logo.
