18k yellow gold Rolex President bracelet with folding clasp

Arguably the world’s most important watch bracelet manufacturer, Gay Frères was founded by Jean-Pierre Gay and Gaspard Tissot in 1835. The firm produced high quality bracelets and chains for renowned brands such as Patek Philippe, Omega, Heuer, Universal Geneve, Vacheron Constantin, and more. In the 1970’s Gay Frères produced bracelets for the iconic Nautilus, Royal Oak, and the Ladder bracelet used for Zenith El-Primeros.

The Rolex bracelet collections were also designed and supplied by Gay Frères. By the early 1990’s Rolex purchased the manufacturer, who continues to operate producing bracelet. The present lot offers our collectors an incredible example of the President bracelet from the late 1960’s stamped by Gay Frères to the folding clasp.
