Figural Stag Head Mechanical Inkwell with Hunting Motif:
Unusual figural inkwell featuring a detailed stag head that lifts to reveal a copper-lined inkwell beneath. The hinged lid is mounted atop a copper body surrounded by cast metal oak leaf base and accented with hunting-themed items including a whip, riding crop, and stirrups. The underside of the base is marked 2552 and fitted with three feet. A fine example of late 19th to early 20th century craftsmanship, blending naturalistic animal sculpture with equestrian and hunting themes. Measures approximately 6″L x 6″H.
