Camille Claudel (French, 1864-1943) “Women By The Fireplace” or “Reve au coin du feu” bronze statue, features a seated women by the fireplace with large marble mantle executed in an expressionist manner, signed at base edge, “C. Claudel” stamped: “22” with foundry mark “Eug. Blot/Paris” label from “Rosalind Russell Estate” at top. Electrified.
Cast by Blot in 1905 in marble or onyx with bronze in an edition of 65; this cast is only the seventh known example from the edition of 65 and only the second known onyx and bronze variation.
