A div.1 very rare Political George Washington Button:

1 Large 18th century GW inaugural button in a rare design. This authentic button from the time of George Washington’s inaugural was purchased in the 1960’s by the then President of the National Button Society Grace Toalson ( years in office 1965 & 66), she purchased the button from Dewey Albert , who is the author of the book button collectors call the bible to Historical and political buttons. This button has been housed in this frame (pictured) with Grace Toalsons’s name, address and phone number ever since. The rarity we are told of this example is the Dotted script GW center. Although the dots are a little worn the experts have told us that it is of little concern for the rarity of this design. The dotted script GW center is bordered by the words “LONG LIVE THE PRESIDENT” If you have ever wanted a rare GW inaugural, now is your time to own a great historical button both in the United States history but also for those in the button society, a historically owned example by one of the past presidents. A wonderful button indeed.
