2pc Indian Silver Sitar Form Box with Circular Insert:
The body of the sitar opens to reveal a gilt interior with a fitted circular, three-compartment insert. The exterior features chased and embossed decorative motifs including floral patterns and textured designs. The neck is detailed with raised frets and two tuning peg elements, and the end is cast in the form of an animal head. A decorative finial element is suspended from the underside of the neck. The lid interior is gilt and decorated with repousse bird designs. The piece is crafted from silver with parcel gilt accents. Box: 11.5″L x 3.5″W x 3″H. Circular insert: 3″W x 0.25″H. The total net silver weight of the box with insert is 11.57 troy ounces.
