An important Indo-Portuguese inlaid contador cabinet on stand showcasing a wooden foundation with a rectangular form, adorned with four rows of three drawers. The stand itself boasts three spacious drawers, while the square section legs captivate with intricate carvings of European ecclesiastical figures, complete with bulging eyes and distinctive features. These figures gracefully flow down to polychrome scale, accompanied by captivating grotesque animalistic forms, all resting on casters. The surfaces and drawer fronts are adorned with stellar motifs, beautifully arranged within roundels to form an intricate latticed design. Delicate openwork copper-alloy mounts and twisted pull handles add a touch of elegance throughout.
