Woodard Lipe’s upcoming sale offers a wide-ranging catalog of fine art, decorative art, furniture, and more. Among the top lots is a lithograph poster by Spanish artist Joan Miró. Besides being a Surrealist, Joan Miró introduced automatism, an artistic expression of psychological inner thoughts. This piece was created in 1971 for a Galerie Maeght exhibition by Miró. Another notable fine art lot in the catalog is a color lithograph work by Salvador Dalí, a key figure in the Surrealist movement of the 20th century that emphasized the power of dreams to inspire creativity. Titled La Vierge De Guadeloupe, the offered piece features the Virgin of Guadalupe and is matted and framed in gold wood. Several decorative items will be on offer in this event, including an eight-piece pewter coffee and tea service set produced by John Somers, a Brazilian manufacturer. Founded in 1968, John Somers creates some of the finest pewter in the world and has earned the recognition of connoisseurs. The offered set features a pair of large and small pots, two creamers, a covered sugar bowl with a spoon, a teapot, and a small tray. Three of the pieces include wooden handles, and all feature wooden finials. A John Somers Brazil mark is located on the bottom, as well as John Somers marks on the top or sides. Bidders can also consider Kimberly Marshall’s oil on canvas work titled Flower Bouquet and a pair of leather modern "Z" chairs by Rolf Benz.
