Oscar Heyman Alexandrite Ring, Kunzite Pendant Necklace Lead Kingston Auction House’s Upcoming Sale

Oscar Heyman & Brothers, an American fine jewelry design and manufacturing house, was founded by Oscar, Nathan, and Harry Heyman in 1912 in New York City. The company is famous for its use of colored gemstones. An Oscar Heyman alexandrite and diamond ring is a key highlight of this upcoming sale, offered by Kingston Auction House. Set in a platinum mounting, the rare oval alexandrite weighs 2.79 carats. Originating in India, the stone comes with AGL and GIA certificates. Another noteworthy colored stone lot in this event is a kunzite and diamond gold pendant necklace. Fashioned in 18-karat white gold, the chain measures 18.5 inches long. The pendant features a round fantasy-cut kunzite, accentuated by 50 round brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing approximately 1.0 carat. Two Italian gold necklaces also highlight the auction. One is styled with interlocking links, whereas the other comprises emerald- and square-cut rubies and round diamonds.  A Praschnik diamond and gold bangle is equally striking. It is designed in 18-karat yellow gold and studded with 37 round brilliant-cut diamonds, weighing 1.50 carats. Jewelry Designs by Ilias Lalaounis and Hans D. Krieger Highlight Kingston Auction House’s Upcoming Sale

A lariat necklace is a Y-shaped necklace that has a loop with a linear drop. Instead of a clasp closure, the strand wraps around the neck and runs through a fixture. The necklace gets its name and design inspiration from the culture of the American West. It resembles a type of lasso, a long rope with a large loop at the end. An Ilias Lalaounis 18-karat yellow gold lariat necklace is a key highlight of the upcoming sale, offered by Kingston Auction House. It features two Chimera heads adorned with rubies, sapphires, and diamonds and is adjustable with sliding center section divider. In Greek mythology, the Chimera was believed to be a fearsome, fire-breathing monster with a lion's head and a goat's body. Ilias Lalaounis was celebrated for such pioneering styles influenced by Greek history. Two noteworthy diamond jewelry pieces by Hans D. Krieger also lead the catalog. One is an 18-karat white gold cuff studded with diamonds, and the other is a diamond circle necklace. The international fine jewelry brand was first established in Germany in 1720.
